Make the Move

Make the Move is a website aimed at young people with learning disabilities in Scotland.

The website is produced by ENABLE Scotland, with funding from Nominet Trust.

It aims to be a helpful guide for young people at any stage of their careers, from thinking about a job to gaining promotion and progressing further.

ENABLE Scotland works with young people in schools and colleges across the country to support them to have an equal opportunity to get a job when they leave school or college.

Dehydration kills elderly hospital patients

Inadequate fluid intake contributed to the deaths of 550 patients last year - up 9% on the previous 12 months and up more than 25 per cent on a decade earlier, according to ISD Scotland.

Letter urges government to provide independent advocacy

Eighty-six experts and organisations have signed an open letter to the Prime Minister calling for wholesale reform of services to ensure high quality care for people with learning disabilities including access to skilled, independent advocacy funded by commissioners.
